Terms of use for Scrattle
Last updated: 11 October 2026 · Norsk
These terms apply when you use Scrattle, published by Studio Glazebrook (Norway). By playing, you accept them. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
1. Age
You must be 13 or older to use Scrattle.
2. Zero tolerance for objectionable content
Usernames, definitions, room names and chat messages must not contain:
- harassment, bullying, threats or hate speech
- sexual content, violence or anything else unsuitable for an app rated 13+
- personal information about others, such as full names, addresses or phone numbers
- advertising, spam, links or attempts at fraud
- content that breaks the law or infringes the rights of others
We remove content that breaks these rules and may ban users who break them, without notice. If you see something objectionable, report it on the contact page. We review reports of objectionable content within 24 hours.
3. Computer players and reuse of answers
Empty seats in open games are filled by computer-controlled players (bots). Bots may use definitions written by real players in earlier games. When you write a definition, you grant Studio Glazebrook a free, non-exclusive right to use it in the game in this way, without your name. We approve every answer manually before it can be reused. You can ask for your answers to be deleted – see the privacy policy.
4. Fair play
Don't cheat, don't impersonate others, and don't try to manipulate ratings, access other people's data or disrupt the service.
5. Words and definitions
The real definitions come from open dictionaries – see sources and licences. We do our best to keep them accurate but give no guarantee.
6. The service
Scrattle is free. We may change, pause or discontinue the service or parts of it, and we cannot promise it will always be available or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect losses arising from use of the app. Your rights under mandatory consumer law always apply.
7. Apple
These terms are an agreement between you and Studio Glazebrook, not Apple. Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA) also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. We will announce material changes in the app. If you keep playing after a change, you accept the new terms.
9. Governing law and contact
Norwegian law applies. Questions about these terms can be sent to [email protected].
